The Oluwo of Iwo Land, Osun State, His Imperial Majesty, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi has installed the publisher of Ovation Magazine and his wife, Dele and Mobolaji Momodu as The Aare and Yeye Aare of Iwo Land.
The epoch making event of installation took place at Oluwo Palace on Saturday, October 10, while influential personalities across Nigeria and oversea were in attendance.
While speaking on reasons that prompted his installation, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi disclosed that Dele Momodu was installed as Aare of Iwo Land based on his track record, impeccable character and professionalism in journalism.
The monarch stressed that Momodu has long remained a brave and notable person whose journalistic professionalism and wisdom had corrected many things in the contemporary society.
In his eulogy, the PDP governorship candidate for Osun 2018, Senator Ademola Adeleke described Momodu as a primus inter pare wherever he finds himself.
Adeleke, said Momodu had been destined to be great, that he remains as someone who finds way and prosperity where many are finding it difficult.
Other numerous encomiums and appreciative words were poured by Esther Ajayi, Lanre Teriba, Shinna Pellers, journalists, public office holders and other attendees on the awardee.
Reception however took place at an event centre in the ancient town, where all his invitees, admirers and others wined and dined to their fill.
