Oyo State PDP Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke has said that the party ward Congress earlier fixed to Saturday, September 25 still remains as planned.
Adeleke who is also the Secretary Local Organizing Committee disclosed this in a statement he personally signed and made available to news men
According to him, “the leadership of Oyo State PDP uses this medium to inform our teeming members that our Ward congresses will be coming up on Saturday 25th of September 2021 at our usual Centres and ward venues
“We implore our members all over Oyo State to turn deaf ears to rumor mongers, fake news carriers and noise makers who are irrelevant and do not have the love of the party at heart.
“The Local Organizing Committee in concert with the Oyo State PDP Working Committee has put every needed logistics in place to ensure a peaceful, free and fair process.
“We urge our members to troop out and go to their various wards on Saturday, 25th of September 2021 and participate in the congress. Let us remain peaceful and embrace the process as a family.
“We also use this medium to appreciate the governor of Oyo State and the leader of PDP in the South West, Engineer Seyi Makinde for providing a level playing ground for every member of the party and for allowing true democracy to thrive in our party.
“We wish all aspirants and our stakeholders all the best”, Adeleke concluded.
