The Oluwo of Iwo Land, Oba Abdul-rasheed Adewale Akanbi is set to confer chieftaincy titles on the Publisher of Ovations Magazine, Chief Dele Momodu and his wife.
The letter of Offer by Oluwo of Iwoland
This was relayed through a letter signed by the Oluwo of Iwo, saying the internationally recognised Media guru and his wife will be honoured with the title of Aare and Yeye Tayese of Iwoland.
It would be recalled that this is not the first time Chief Dele Momodu would be honoured in Iwoland by the monarch, as he was honoured with the title of Aare Atunluse of Yorubaland in 2018.
Though the date of the conferment is yet to be fixed, the Monarch said the Oluwo in Council chose Momodu because of his immense promotion of Yoruba culture and tradition and his mental beneficence in ensuring good governance are delivered.
The letter which bore the heading “Offer of honorary Traditional titles (Aare and Yeye Tayese of Iwoland”, posited that the Oluwo deemed it fit to honour the Momodus with the esteemed titles.
It added that the growth of Journalism in Nigeria and across the globe was made possible because of Momodu’s vigorous attention to the noble field.
