The Ayingun Olubadan of Ibadanland and senator representing Oyo central senatorial district, Oloye Teslim Folarin has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Saliu Adetunji Akanmu (Aje Ogunguniso 1) as the paramount traditional ruler clocks 93 years of age.
Senator Folarin, in a goodwill message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade YSO Olaniyi, described the nonagenarian as an embodiment of royalty and intelligence.
“I heartily celebrate my father and our Imperial King on the occasion of his 93rd birthday anniversary. As you celebrate, I am very sure your heart is filled with joy for what God has helped you to achieve all this years and looking forward, I hope that all your dreams and wishes for the people of Ibadanland will come through.
Oloye Folarin while urging the first-class monarch not to relent in the promotion and sustenance of Yorùbá culture and traditions, also prayed Allah to grant Kabiyesi a long life, wisdom and the strength to rule the good people of Ibadanland for many more years.
Further more, the Ayingun Olubadan called on the people and residents of Ibadan to join hands with the king so as to continue to make Ibadanland a peaceful place for everybody and to make it grow for a better future.
