Immigration officials Allegedly Slapped Ibadan North LG Chairman, Beat Media Aides, Others. DETAILS

The officials of immigration services have allegedly slapped the Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Sharibu Agba Egbe, mercilessly beat Media Aides and others in the presence of their commandment.

The viral video clip has not specifically revealed nor substantiated the cause for the assault but the investigation conducted by naijatodaynews.com indicated that the Local Government Chairman, Agba Agba had the knowledge that some unknown people were making use of his official letter head at Immigration Office to perpetrate dubiously financial atrocities and other dastardly acts.

Agba Egbe, Media Aide, Photographer and two councillors at the local council made a visit to the immigration office in Ibadan with a view to establishing the veracity of the allegation and how his official letter l head is being allegedly used to perpetrate fraud in his name.

Naijatodaynews.com had it that immediately the chairman and his entourage gained entrance into their premises, they challenged him and began to assault him and others, despite the fact that they know and acknowledge him as the executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.

In the process of Agba Egbe trying to explain what brought him and others to their office, they held his cloth and slapped him.

An immigration official was also said to have beaten the Media Aide, that they seized his Identity Card and android phone.

While the chairman and his entourage were trying to leave the premises, immigration officials locked them in and prevented them to gain access to outside the gate.

The Media Aide was the only person who managed to escape and went straight to the local government secretariat to hint people at the local government of the sad development.

They were said to have gone enmass from the secretariat to the immigration office, so as to prevent them from injuring the council chairman.

As at the time of filing the report, efforts made to reach out to the immigration officials failed as none of them was ready to talk to the news medium.
