The Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Oyo State, Alh. Adebisi Olopoeniyan has said that he can’t trust Governor Seyi Makinde on his assumed readiness and eagerness to reconcile with all the aggrieved members in the party.

Olopoeniyan stressed that Makinde has outrightly failed in his efforts to take to recommendations of the previous reconciliation committees headed by Dr Saka Balogun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Elder Bode George and Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja respectively.

PDP Chieftain while speaking with the journalists in Ibadan, shortly after the aggrieved stakeholders’ meeting with National Reconciliation and Strategic Committee, headed by Dr Bukola Saraki lamented that he has no trust in Governor Seyi Makinde because he lies a lot.

Olopoeniyan said he was doubtful of Makinde’s readiness to latest reconciliation with the aggrieved members, because he had failed woefully to implement the recommendations of about four committees setup in the past.

He said Saraki meant well to reunite all and makes PDP united in pacesetter state but Makinde’s body language and alleged arrogance could not allow him to complement the reconciliatory efforts of party’s stakeholders at national level.

Olopoeniyan stressed that Makinde has turned PDP to his personal business where he gives directives as wishes and consults no elders on how the party and governance should be run.

He said he and others who are authentic PDP stakeholders and members had taken the back seat, while Makinde has been running unilateral activities within the party and governance of Oyo State.

On the issue of forthcoming congresses of the party, Olopoenoyan said they were ready to participate actively in the congresses, stressing that the current executives need to step aside for inauguration of caretaker executives while their times lapse this month.

He said he could not attend the meeting held at the Government House with Saraki led reconciliation committee, saying he did not want Osogbo scenario to repeat itself, while Auxiliary would be allegedly intimidating him and others.

Michael Ogundele who attended the meeting held at the Government House said Makinde’s promise on reconciliation can’t be trusted, saying Governor is a person whose words are not reliable and truthful.
