Federal High Court in Abuja Adjourns trials of leaders of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi kanu to October 21st
Nnamdi Kanu appears in court for the resumption of his trial on treason and felony.
The breaking news now is that the Department of State Security, DSS has continued to crack down on individuals showing solidarity for the Nnamdi Kanu trial, scheduled to hold today Monday at 9 am.
In a live report, by Arise TV, DSS Operatives can be seen arresting people showing support for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB..
DSS could be heard shouting, turn off the camera, but the Arise TV craw refused to, insisting they are on live broadcast. The secessionist was arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date which is July 26 and 27. Kanu, who is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country, only to re-emerge in Israel and then in the United Kingdom.
The Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government is expected to amend the charges against the IPOB leader.
