The Elero of Ileroland, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka has felicitated the indigenes of the community, both at home and in the diaspora on the 2021 edition of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The monarch while speaking with Khalid Imran, Editor-in-Chief, naijatodaynews.com on the occasion of Ileya festival, felicitated the indigenes of Ileroland and enjoined those in the diaspora to come home in numbers for the unique celebration of sallah, saying that, maximum security is guaranteed for the lives and properties of the indigenes.
Oba Oyedele Saka, who noted that though, the prevailing circumstances of insecurity and social unrest across the country may test the faith of many sons and daughters of Ileroland in diaspora not to come home for celebration, but the community is secured for lives and properties of the inhabitants.
The Royal Majesty reiterated that they should not panic nor nurse phobia to travel, adding that the Law Enforcement Agents and Local Security Outfits are in a state of preparedness to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the indigenes at home and others, before, during and after the sallah.
The monarch stressed that he had met with the security agents and other paramilitary officers, who assured that lives and properties of the indigenes would be more secured during and after the yuletide.
On occasion of Eid-El-Kabir, Elero noted that the occasion is a remembrance of the submission of Prophet Ibrahim( ASW) to Allah, by which he demonstrated the value of sacrifice, particularly in relating with one another, and nation-building.
He added that the focus of the message is God’s love for mankind as demonstrated in the replacement of Ishmael with a ram in the test of faith for prophet Ibrahim.
The monarch enjoined all and sundry to learn virtue of faith and patience from Prophet Ibrahim, whom God tested with predicament of barrenness and also submitted to sacrifice the only son(Ismaheel) for Allah.
The monarch wished all well and prayed that many more Ileya festivals and other religious occasions would be celebrated on the surface of the earth.
