African Minifootball Cup of Nation: Ex Super Eagles’ Player, Mutiu Adepoju Predicts Hope For Nigeria Despite Loss To Senegal

The Ex Super Eagles’ Player and Head Master, Mutiu Adepoju has predicted Nigerian Team’s qualification from the group, despite its 2-3 loss to Senegalese Team in the ongoing African Mini football Cup of Nation, that is taking place at Ilaji Sports Centre, Oloyo Village, Akanran Ibadan, Oyo State.

Adepoju while speaking with the journalists, shortly after Senegal defeated Nigeria by 3-2 at the second round of the tournament disclosed that, Nigeria may qualify in the group, provided it defeats Zambia and Senegal wins Lybia in the next game.

Former Head Master reiterated that hope is not lost, provided there is an improvement which enhances Nigeria defeating Zambian Team at the next third round of the football competition.

He enjoined the players not to relax nor tired but continue to fire on until they ensure their qualification at the subsequent semifinals of the tournament.

In another vein, the coach to Nigerian Team has shown his displeasure over the team’s loss to Senegal, justifying that the referee was not fair enough to his players.

Adding that he felt bad that the referee did not take to fair play, balancing and objectivity while officiating the game.

The Coach lamented that he ought not to have stopped the match at the time he did, saying that a minute added was not enough, compared to precious time that was wasted during the game.
