The Chief Executive Officer, CEO Ilaji Hotel & Sport Resort, Engr Dotun Sanusi has said that the preparation for the kickoff of African Mini Football Cup of Nation tournament that is scheduled to take place at Ilaji Sport Centre, Oloyo Village, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State is set.
Sanusi while speaking with the pressmen on the football pitch, disclosed that everything regarding the smooth takeoff and fruition of the football tournament had been prepared.
He welcomed and enjoined players and countries who are to participate at the tournament to approach the game with the spirit of sportsmanship, dedication and commitment worthy to lift the trophy.
Okanlomo Oodua warned the players to eschew bitterness and sentiment against one another while the tournament lasts, adding that the trophy is one and it is a country that will lift it at the end of the day.
He appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Seyi Makinde whose gestures to host of the football tournament sound positive to its eventual possibility.
The football match that is scheduled to commence today will feature teams of sixteen countries, which findings revealed that they have been arriving.
Among the countries which have arrived are Lybia, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory coast and Senegal respectively.
