The Ayingun Olubadan and chairman Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Teslim Folarin, on Saturday, presented with Distinguished Merit Award on Politics and Good Governance by Omo Aj’Orosun Club, Ibadan.
According to chairman of the occasion, Engr. Remi Oseni, Oloye Sharafadeen Alli-led Planning, and Oloye Bioku Ismail-led executives of the club, the prestigious award was given to Senator Folarin in recognition of his positive contributions to the growth of Ibadan land and outstanding achievements in politics and public administration.
Joining the three-term distinguished senator to receive the distinguished award were Senator (Dr.) Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Rt. Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi Bunvic, Chief Lowo Obisesan (Aare Ago Olubadan), Chief Adegboyega Adegoke (Ajia Balogun Olubadan), Hon. Yinka Taiwo, Rt. Hon. Hammed Adigun Murphy (former Chief Whip OYSHA), Alhaji Kayode Adanla, Hon. Akin Ali, Hon. Kehinde Oloya, Alhaji Yinka Folarin, Alhaji Wahid Olawale, Hon. Biliaminu Ogundele, Alhaji Akeem Olatunji Akogun, Mogaji (Barr.) Abiodun Akaje, Hon. Alarape K.K, Hon. Oorelope, Hon. Kola Amoo, Alhaji Akeem Ila, Alhaji Akeem Lele, Hon. Lege, Hon. Muniru Olafiku, Mogaji Seun Jegede among others.
The 2021 Omo Aj’Orosun Day and 41st Club Anniversary was attended by Governor Seyi Makinde, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Soliu Adetunji Aje Ogunguniso (Olubadan of Ibadan), Senator Kola Balogun (Oyo South) and other crème de la crème in Oyo State.
Omo Aj’Orosun Club is a non-religious and non-partisan socio-cultural organisation consisting of bona-fide sons of Ibadan. Its aim among others is to collaborate with individuals, corporate organisations and government in the advancement of its members and Ibadan socially, culturally, educationally and economically.
This year’s Omo Aj’Orosun Day Grand Finale was held at the Club House on Saturday.
