The All Progressive Congress (APC) Flag Bearer in the 2019 governorship election in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has revealed his true pact with the Chairman, Oyo State, Park Management Systems(PMS) Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, popularly called Auxiliary as the one which has nothing to do with the violent tendencies but premised on how the duo were grown together.

Adelabu who is the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) made this revelation after his picture with the PMS boss had been generating different reactions and insinuations from the public.

The picture which was said to have been taken during the 2019 electioneering period had been generating controversies as some insinuated that Adelabu would have considered Auxiliary to head road transport workers’ union in the state if he had won the last governorship election.

Remember that the brigandage has returned to the state especially Ibadan, the state’s capital and accusing fingers have been pointing at Auxiliary.

Meanwhile, speaking on Fresh FM during a programme, ‘Political Circuit’ anchored by Mayor Isaac Brown, Adelabu revealed what really happened the day he took the picture with Auxiliary which had gone viral.

He said: “There was a picture that is making round that Adelabu talked about insecurity because of the bad system and the picture was showing me and Auxiliary, insinuating that if I had been the governor, I would have done same thing.

“I said stop that. Let me tell you, number one, the area I grew up, Oluyoro/Oke- Ofa, it’s same area Auxiliary grew up. Number two, no politician will turn down whoever wants to work with them.

“I did not send for Auxiliary, he came to me and he said he wanted to work with us. I told him no problem that I had known him before but in our camp, we don’t condone violence. My late brother, Yahya Busari was there though he was dead but I have a living witness, the Mogaji of Senator Ajimobi’s house, Alh. Wasiu Ajimobi and can testify to it.

“You can work with anybody but issue of compensation should be different. You just mentioned the issue of Alhaji Tokyo. He worked for Ajimobi. He wanted union job but but Ajimobi compensated him with another thing because of controversies surrounding him and they still maintained cordial relationship till Ajimobi died and we had peace.

Makinde should not have compensated Auxiliary with PMS position because of controversies surrounding him but with another thing though he’s an ex-convict, it doesn’t matter.

“Since that time we took the picture, Auxiliary never showed up because he read our body language that we don’t want violence and he later went to work for Seyi Makinde”, Adelabu said
