Ibadan based Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Ismaila Ashipa has condemned the statement (Iwo Road Fracas:The Battle For 2023 Has Begun) purportedly issued by the Media Aide to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Omolere Omoetan.

Ashipa showed his condemnation to the statement in his piece of writing made available to naijatodaynews.com

According to Ashipa, “The Oyo state Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Egnr Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, normally picks calls: at least, I know of my calls. I have called and messaged all his numbers more than a dozen time today and the calls weren’t picked nor the messages acknowledged”.

” I suspected His Excellency the Deputy, knew why I was calling. I called to hear from him if truly the Press Release by Hon Omolere Omoetan, SSA. MEDIA, in the Deputy’s Office, came from Egnr Olaniyan”.

“As my calls and several messages were not acknowledged nor returned, I decided to seek my information elsewhere: and you trust your man”.

“I found out that:
His Excellency, Egnr Olaniyan wasn’t aware of today’s Press Release from his own office;
The Deputy gave no instruction to his SSA MEDIA to write a Press Release on Iwo road mayhem”.

“That Mr Deputy was only aware of the Press Release after coming across my Facebook post on the matter;
that Hon Omolere Omoetan is a fine man to relate with but in his desperate effort at defending the OYSG, he wrote the piece in his “Omoetan” name (an error). That the release wasn’t official”.

“I heard from the grapevine that His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, is bitter at the audacity of one of his most trusted aides, Hon Omolere Omoetan, to post a Press Release without prior consultation or brief. And without getting clearance from his boss, His Excellency, Egnr Seyi Makinde”.

“I would have taught you are a mole in this office if not that you are one of my trusted aides”, the grapevine quoted the Deputy”.

“Truth shall come to the fore sooner than later”, Ashipa ended.
