Iwo Road Mayhem: Phone Retailers Seek Justice For Rahmon Jago, Narrate Scenario

The phone retailers who are operating in Iwo road axis of Ibadan have sought justice in respect of Rahmon Jago who was gruesomely murdered in the mayhem that ensued last Wednesday.

This was contained in a release issued and made available to the news men.

According to the statement, “Oyo State Chairman, Disciplinary Committee of Park Management System, Lamidi Mukaila, Auxillary who was said to have been the team leader of the riot that occurred on Wednesday, at Iwo road shopping complex,Baba onilu Ibadan”.

“According to an eyewitness Akingbade Tolase who is selling phone at the complex and was also present at the spot of the incident narrated the story to the press”.

“That the incident occured around 3pm on Wednesday when the Micra drivers who parked at the entrance of the complex were asked to re-park, because of oncoming vehicle who happens to be their boss Mr Hammed who wanted to enter the complex”.

” Instead of the drivers to adjust the parking style he went over to gather the members of the Union and some other thugs who converged into the complex as they started beating the driver of the private car Mr Hammed who happened to be the Co- Owner of the complex and an elder brother of the deceased(Rahmon Jago)”.

"As we could not withstand the way the union thugs were beating our boss,we retaliated by stopping them and that was when they converged before  our complex in multiple to beat, destroy and rob everyone in the complex including the customers and passerby"

” Despite the fact that Oyo state security agencies were available watching the thugs as they were destroying properties worth millions of Naira,they couldn’t react as they were expecting order from above before they can interfere, instead of them to stay at the front of the complex to scare the thugs they didn’t do anything,but when Auxillary came around they saluted him”, Tolase said

“Moreover, the eyewitness said it was Auxillary, PMS Chairman himself that started the shooting and instructed his gangs to destroy the whole complex, their aim was to kill Mr Hammed but because he look very much alike with his brother Mr Rahmon who was killed instead of Mr Hammed who escaped through the back door”.

“Mr Rahmon popularly known as Rahmon Jago who was described to be peace maker and an easy going man was only trying to settle the chaos in an amicable manner before they ganged up at him and stabbed him to death”.

“Few among the thugs who carried out the dastardly acts were mentioned as Baba Eba, Eko,Omo olore,Ibadan lotto, Ajasi,Toheeb Olomo pupo,led by Auxillary”, the statement concluded
