When asked about what to be the expectations of the voters after the election, he answered by saying that, “I want to assure them, even though they already know that, this is not the first time of serving them, I have been in the House of Assembly as at 2011, 2012 and it’s part of what we did then that even made them to reelect us, so I want to assure them that they’re going to enjoy a good dividend of democracy if I’m eventually voted into the office”.

The PDP State PRO, Engr Akeem Olatunji who was also present at the campaign opined that as far as Ona Ara and Egbeda are concerned, PDP is the right party.

He said, “We can see from the turnout of people today that PDP is the right party to pick as far as Ona Ara and Egbeda are concerned. It is more or less 100 percent for PDP.”

“The only thing is that people should guard their votes and make sure that their votes are counted. At least, we can say that 90% that PDP is winning because no party has done what we have done. They have never embarked on house to house campaign before.”

“We are happy that PDP in Egbeda and Ona Ara are united. We have formidable team and we are confident that we are winning in May 22.”

The Director General of Oyo State Liaison Office, Hon Busari Olayemi also urged the people to vote PDP and its candidates into power.

Olayemi disclosed that PDP remains the only political party in Oyo State and Nigeria which programmes and policies are in tandem to alleviate the sufferings and challenges of the people living in the state and beyond.

He enjoined voters to vote PDP candidates at the election slated for May 22, stressing that the chairmanship and councillorship candidates will do the needful after their emergence.

Hon Sunkanmi Samson Babalola, member of the House of Assembly representing Egbeda constituency also stated the importance of the local government election.

“We know the importance of the local government election and the importance of the local government, these are the ways we can deliver the dividend of democracy to our people at grassroot level in terms of empowerment.”

“And that’s why our amiable Governor deemed it fit to conduct the election. Things cannot be done in old ways. The previous administration didn’t conduct any election for seven years. But he(Seyi Makinde) deemed it fit to conduct election less than two years in office.

Hon Gboyega Akinlolu James also advised the electorate, saying that they have to continue the good work for Engr. Seyi Makinde which he has been doing since he was elected as a governor.

He said, “My message to the electorate is that they should open their eyes, and see what our Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde has been doing in the state.

“Vote in our people here, in the local government and we will corroborate His Excellency’s program. So I urge you to please vote for PDP in the forthcoming election. “
