Hon. Sheriff Adesina, Ibadan Northwest State Constituency and Aspirant into Oyo State House of Assembly has felicitated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and Eid-Ul Fitri celebration.
Hon. Adesina’s cheerful message was contained in a statement he personally signed , where he enjoined all religious adherents to pray against the ravaging insecurity across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria.
The statement reads:
“I felicitate fellow Muslim brothers and sisters on t successful fruition of 2021 Ramadan fasting, and on the occasion of Eid Ul-Fitr that is being observed and celebrated globally”.
“The last one month had been a soul-purifying one for most of us, as we engaged our creator days and nights praying and seeking His forgiveness of our sins and misdeeds. It was also a month in which we constantly engaged in one form of good deeds or another. Now that Ramadan is over, we must not withdraw from doing so”.
“Most Importantly, as we live to celebrate this year Eid-Ul- Fitri, let us remember and constant to pray for peace to reign in our land; it is not sufficient for us to pray only, we must be ready to speak, act and relate with one another peacefully irrespective of our differences and religious dichotomy”.
“Peaceful coexistence, unity of purpose and love are needed to progress as a country; there can never be development where there is no peace. We need peace in our land, and to achieve this, we must be tolerant of one another. Treat others the way you will like to be treated, and we will achieve a more peaceful society.
“However, I appreciate the current Government of Engr Seyi Makinde whose policies and programmes are geared towards the alleviation of poverty and various degrees of challenges bedeviling the common masses, may he continue to wax stronger in his administrative endeavour”.
“Once again, Eid Mubarak to us all. May we witness many more of it in sound heath and prosperity on earth. Ameen”, Adesina ended.
