An acclaimed Yoruba Liberator and Human Right Activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho has lampooned the Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi over his purportedly made statement that the suspected Fulani Bandits who are allegedly terrorizing the nooks and crannies of Southwest Geopolitical Zone free to seek refuge in his palace.
Sunday Igboho while paying homage to Onjo of Okeholand, Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, Oba Abdulrafiu Osuolale Mustapha, tongue lashed the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi over his allegedly public pronouncement of making refuge to suspected Fulani bandits in his palace at Iwo.
The Human Right Activist stressed that someone like Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi did not worth to be a leader, not to talk of royal monarch to an important and famous city like Iwo in the cradle of Yoruba progenitors.
Sunday Igboho said that the monarch’s readiness to embrace the Fulani Bandits in his palace justifies his bastard, Fulanis’ slave and inequality among the Yoruba Traditional Rulers.
He added that Oba Abdulrasheed’s alleged misbehaviour and unguarded utterances indicate that his level of intellect, wisdom and skills are far below the exalted position.
In another vein, Sunday Igboho enjoined the Onjo of Okeholand and other traditional rulers in the zone to throw their weight behind the proposed creation of Oduduwa/Yoruba Nation, which he expatiated will rescue and free the Yorubas from Hausa/Fulanis’ leadership dominance in Nigeria.
Sunday Igboho stressed that an attainment of Yoruba Nation becomes significant, because it will give the royal fathers the privilege to rule independently, rescue Yorubas from Fulanis’ slavery, ability to control and manage the resources for the benefit of Oduduwa descendants among others.
He said that it was a shame on yorubas that the Fulanis are sitting on top of their resources across the Southwest Geopolitical Zone, while at the end of the day giving them peanuts that could not commensurate with enough they have ceded to northern part of the country.
He reiterated that Yorubas could not continue folding their arms and allow the Fulanis making Yorubas playing the second fiddle on the land of their fore fathers.
He said that the royal support towards the struggle would sincerely enhance the possibility of proposed Yoruba Republic and will ultimately guarantee the autonomy of Yoruba speaking states from Fulanis’ oligarchy.
Sunday Igboho while distributing the posters carrying images of Oduduwa statute and other inscriptions, calling on all Yoruba Traditional Rulers to throw their weight behind the youths, stakeholders and leaders who are working days and nights to ensure its victory.
Oba Osuolale while responding, hailed Sunday Igboho for coming out boldly to fight for the cause of Yorubas and possibility of the proposed Oduduwa Republic, saying the Obas would give the necessary support and its possibility would be attained by God’s grace.
