Oyo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, representing Ogbomoso South State Constituency, Sanjo Adedoyin, has denied the rumour that he led hoodlums to distrupt the electoral process at the election venue saying that it was a fabricated story to tarnish his image.

According to Hon. Sanjo while speaking with journalists at the scene said he’s aware of the smear attack by Hon. Timothy Adedokun, the Ogbomoso South Local Government Caretaker Chairman and Stephen Adegboyega regarding the claim of him sponsoring thugs to the venue.

The lawmaker described Stephen Adegboyega who took to his Facebook page that the principal lawmaker led hoodlums to attack him and others as a blackmailer, serial liar and attention seeker

He said, “The process was relatively peaceful, free, fair and void of any irregularities until Ogbomoso South Park Management System representative, Jimoh Ejeoto led the PMS members to cause crisis while we were around the Secretariat premises. The party faithfuls and delegates were recklessly stabbed with knife, cutlass and axe. They chased people away from the venue of the election with guns and other dangerous weapons. If anybody had a gun shot, it must be handwork of Park Managers and other gun welding touts mobilized by Timothy Oyedokun to prevent party members from exercising their civic right.”

Majority Leader who dismissed the rumor being spread by some media outfits, tagged such report as a manhunt against his person and a result of hungry journalism, which is really unneccessary.

He stated that he was surprised to have been fingered for such a disgusting and unfortunate act.

However, various leaders of the party such as party chairman, Apostle Olamoyegun JP, Ogbomoso South youth leader, Hon. Aderinto Benjamin, party secretary, Hon. Oguntoye Simeon Akintunde and other party executive members and stakeholders were present.

Others include; Hon. Olateju, who is a two term member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Johnson Ayanleke, former Oyo State House of Assembly member, Hon. Emmanuel former PDP South West Youth Leader, ward youth leaders, ward women leaders to mention few were on ground to witness the unfortunate scene.
