The Caretaker Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Hon. Saliman Afolabi Borikansunwon has emerged the candidate of People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) for the forthcoming local government election that is slated for Saturday, May 15.
At the end of PDP primaries that took place at the secretariat complex of Kajola Local Government, Okeho on Monday, March 8. The Returning Officer for the exercise, Adedokun Gabriel announced Hon. Saliman Afolabi Borikansunwon as the winner of the electoral exercise with two hundred and one(201) votes.
While his closest rival, Hon. Adeniji Charles R. had 22 votes, Hon. Salawu Yaya Adegbaye scored 10 votes, Hon. Tairu Gbadamosi A. maintained 6 votes respectively and 6 ballot papers were void.
Borikansunwon appreciated all and sundry who participated actively towards the smooth and transparent conduct of the exercise.
