JUST IN: Dotun Sanusi, Residents, Others Laud Government’s Intervention On Reopening of Blocked Roads

Following concerted efforts of Oyo State Government over quick intervention towards removal of barricade and easy passage of motorists, motorcyclists and others plying Tioya and Ariyo roads in Ona-Ara in Ibadan,Ibadan-born Philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer, CEO Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, residents and others have lauded the government’s quick intervention.

CEO showered encomiums on Engr Seyi Makinde’s led adminiatration, shortly after the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barr Oyeleke Idowu called for the removal of barricade obstructing the easy passage of movement on Ariyo and Tioya roads in Ona-Ara Area of Oyo State.

Dotun stressed that the quick intervention of government on blocked roads justifies that the current government in the state has listening ears to the yearnings and challenges bedeviling the people of the area and pacesetter at large.

He said that the motorists, motorcyclists and others who are constant users of the roads had earlier lamented over their blockage for the construction of bridges but their closure had caused more harm than good.

Ibadan-born philanthropist reiterated that when the masses cry and lament on certain things and the government yields immediately, it shows that such public office holders are genuinely meant for the masses and their wellbeing.

He appreciated the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources whom on instruction of Governor Seyi Makinde rushed to Ona-Ara and ensures that the normalcy of easy passage of motorists, motorcyclists and pedestrians on the said roads returns.

The Manager, Gas land in Tioya axis of Ona-Ara, Ibadan hailed the state government for the quick intervention, stressing that though the hardship was briefly experienced, the removal of barricade and convenient passage of road users had all forgotten the challenges.

He added that the government had plan of necessitating the welfarism and good living of the residents living in the area but consideration should be geared towards the closure of one road while the second will be left unblocked, until the second one will be completed.

A resident, Akinjide Samuel praised the governments at levels for their readiness and eagerness to do the needful in order to ameliorate the suffering and challenges being faced by all who are fond of using the roads.

The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barr Oyeleke Idowu had earlier on instruction of Governor Seyi Makinde ordered the removal of blockage for easy passage of motorists, motorcyclists, pedestrians and others respectively.
