Reports of investigation conducted by naijatodaynews.com.ng have revealed that Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi better handled Oyo State in terms of insecurity and courageously stepped on toes before attaining results in his own tenures.

The anonymous respondents who said that Late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi had spoken in a viral video that Ibadan and Oyo State at large can’t be handled with levity hands but required moral courage, instincts and leadership qualities to nib insecurity in the bud.

They added that Makinde needed to sit tight and give no room for anybody to dictate to him but he should start acting like a courageous leader who knows what to do at an appropriate time.

The respondents directed the crew to late Ajimobi’s viral video where he said:

“One of the responsibilities of a responsible government is security over lives and properties. Any government who does not take it as priority will fail in his administration”.

“Ajimobi in his time understood that fact and he channeled his political power to restore peace back in the state. The fragile peace which was threatened by the frequent fight of the NURTW before he assumed position was his priority and peace reigned”.

“Ajimobi said in his speech and I quote, “I say it openly, God will help you to do well and your well deed will bring progress to Oyo state. I don’t want to hear, don’t take Bere route, Molete route or Oja oba, we don’t want that again”, boasting about the level of maximum security in his tenure, in which a year and some months after, Oyo state is being challenged with insecurity under the watch of Governor Seyi Makinde”.

“He urged his supposed successor that his advice for him is to exercise patience wherever there is a need for it and fight when the need be, saying Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole is not to be taken with levity. Perhaps, Makinde has not been taking the bull by its horn and have allowing people dictate to him what to do. A leader will take his people to where they want but a great leader will take his people to where they ought to be. And that what leadership entails”.

“It is not enough to conjure something from the head or enough to put something into writing but as a leader, you must have courage”.

“Ibadan, Oyo state as a whole is not a place to be taken with levity. You have to be frown. Everybody will want to tell you what to do. A leader will take his people to where they want to go but a great leader will take his people to where they ought to be. That’s leadership. It’s not enough to conjure something from the head, it’s not enough to put something into writing but you must have the courage”.

“Ajimobi who had demonstrated in his speech what he could do with his verbal power without mincing words said, “You see with my mouth, I can deliver Nigeria as a whole with it. I am not scared, God owns the world”, perhaps, Makinde lacks this and that why in his press released statement in January, where he said, “If you see something, say something”.

“Ibadan was peaceful under the administration of the past and late governor Ajimobi but the reverse is the case under the administration of Seyi Makinde. Killings, kidnapping and raping happening every where and it seems the governor is overwhelmed in facing the challenge”, Ajimobi concluded.
