Nigerians have been warned to avoid Obalende in Lagos state as NURTW rival groups fight for supremacy.
Members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers have engaged one another in a fight with gunshots fired.
There is currently a serious tension at Obalende area of Lagos Island following a violent clash between rival groups of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW.
In the video obtained , people were seen running in different directions for safety while several properties were said to have been destroyed.
Scores of people were said to have been sustained various degrees of injuries.
The clash, which is still ongoing, it was gathered started at about 8 am. It could not be ascertained as of the time of filling this report if there were causalities as well as the cause of the clash.
Meantime, residents and motorists have been urged to avoid the area for now pending the arrival of security personnel to restore sanity and safety.
