De-Light Progressive KLUB Of Nigeria Presents Cash, Relief Materials To Orphans, Widows

De-Light Progressive KLUB of Nigeria, Kajola/Iwajowa Axes of Oyo State, in fulfilment and compliance with the aims and objectives that orchestrated its establishment, has presented cash and relief materials to the orphans and widows.

The presentation of cash and relief materials which are characterized as bags of rice, cartons of indomie noodles and soft drinks to the targeted receivers took place on Sunday, December 3rd at the Orphanage of Mercy School, Karaole, Area, Okeho, Kajola Local Government of the state.

According to the President, Mr Dominic Babajide Akinlotan revealed that ‘De-Light Progressive KLUB of Nigeria was established with a view to putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged people and downtrodden in the community and society at large.

Akinlotan stressed that today’s presentation of cash to twelve (12) selected widows and relief materials to the orphans at Orphanage of Mercy School, Okeho was born out of eagerness to fulfil the major aim and objective that triggered the establishment of the KLUB.

The President added that it had become their tradition to reach out to hospitals, Schools for the handicaps and other places that are in need of assistance,reiterating that the persistent donations are in line with pronouncements of the scriptural books.

In his own submission, The Secretary of the association, Mr Mojoro Peter Yemi, said that the KLUB had been in existence for some years back with primary aims to assist the poor and needy.

Yemi added that they come out once in a year to stretch hands of assistance in cash and materials to the less privileged ones in the society, emphasising that the KLUB is not meant for wasteful spendings at the expense of the needy.

In his appreciation, the founder of Orphanage of Mercy School, Ustadh Qassim Olawale Awelenje lavished encomiums on members of the CLUB for identifying with the orphans and widows despite the hardship in the country and paucity of funds.

Awelenje thanked them for being men of integrity, impeccable character and benevolence whom out of passion and feelings donated to the orphans and widows, praying they would be making headways on whatever they lay their hands upon.

Mrs Mulikat Nurudeen and Mrs Charlotte Adeniji, on behalf of the widows, thanked the members of the group for showing unique benevolence to them, praying they would never lack in life.

Olabode Elijah, an orphan, who composed a poem(Be Kind) appreciated the givers and enjoined them to continue showing kindness to the needy in the society.

The programme was well attended by members of the KLUB, who are ranged from Mr Dominic Babajide Akinlotan(President), Alhaji Abdulrasheed Kolawole Salam(Vice President), Mr Mojoro Peter Yemi(Secretary), Chief Mojoro Jonathan Remi(Treasurer), Mr Ajiferuke Tajudeen Abiola(PRO) and Mr Omolewu Jacob Dare.

Also in attendance were the founder of the school, Ustadh Qassim Olawale Awelenje, the teachers, orphans, widows and host of others.
