It was indeed a bad outing for the Oyo State House of Assembly deputy speaker, Abiodun Fadeyi as he was publicly disgraced by some residents of Ifaosin Amuloko, in Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Hon Fadeyi was invited to the community as one of the guests and launchers of the newly installed transformer bought by members of Ifaosin community after long years of darkness and neglect by political office holders from the area.

The event anchored by popular Ibadan based broadcaster, Oriyomi Hamzat later moved to the aspect of launching when the Deputy Speaker’s representative Wakil Okunola was called for his donation. But to the surprise of residents and guests, the Deputy Speaker’s representative announced a donation of fifty thousand naira.

Oyoechonewsonline recalled that the anchor of the event, Oriyomi Hamzat had earlier donated a sum of one hundred thousand naira to the community and it was for this reason the residents of the community outrightly rejected the donation by Fadeyi and shouted him down.

It took the intervention of Ona Ara Local Government Chairman, Mustapha Shaba who later pleaded on behalf of the Deputy Speaker and promised to get back to the community latest by Sunday afternoon before the fifty thousand naira sent was later collected by the community.

While reacting to the development, the Chairman Faosin General Development Forum, Mr Deji Azeez disclosed that he was not surprised by the attitudes of Fadeyi just like the attitudes of a typical Nigeria politician.
