Nigeria Tribune Correspondent, OLAWOYIN Bags Gani Fawehinmi Outstanding Impact Award

The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre)  has recognised the effort and contribution of Nigeria Tribune Correspondent, Olawoyin Edris to the society as he received the certificate of recognition at the 3rd Annual Gani Fawehinmi Integrity and Impact Award.

The award which was facilitated by the HEDA Advisory Board of the GFIIA which comprises of Professor Ayo Atsenuwa, Prof. Uzoguruwa Udombana, Professor Itse Sagay, Dr Abiola Akiode-Afolabi, Comrade Femi Aborisade, Mr Femi Falana (SAN) and Mr Olanrewaju Suraju was conferred on Olawoyin sequel to his recognition and contribution to the society.

Olawoyin Edris Is an associate of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, he has a good profile and sound career ladder in public relations.

He is a member of Board of Trustees of Centre for Advocacy, Leadership, and Development in Africa (CALDA).

10th July 2020, Olawoyin was able to use his social media account to notify the public about the ” outburst of a private school teacher” during COVID-19 where the public called and donated money worth millions of Naira for the teacher.

He is the convener of #ReviewYourDataRates campaign to Nigerian Communication Commission, a petition to support the voiceless subscribers.

He also creates buzz with video of streaming hot ‘amala’ eulogising Makinde over FG during COVID-19.

The Certificate of Award for the 2020 Gani Fawehinmi Impact and Integrity Awards was presented to him by Barrister Muiz Adeyemi Banire SAN, Ph.D., an activist who served as three-term Commissioner of Lagos State at the Radisson Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
