LG Boss Harps On Matured Conduct As FRSC Station Takes Off In Kajola

Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Okeho, Oyo state, Hon. Alhaji ( Chief )Salimonu Adebayo Afolabi has reiterated the need for security agents to live above board and do away with malpractices that could dent their image.
Hon. Afolabi made this submission in his office at the local government’s secretariat, Meseole, Okeho during the familiarisation and courtesy visit of men of the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) whose station had just been established in the local government area.


According to him, the arrival of the road safety apparatus “would help to enhance the peaceful atmosphere we have presently in our area. “
He however charged the newly posted officers to eschew extortion of people, do away with the old order and collaborate with the local government in order to achieve better results.


Various speakers at the event, including : the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Moses Olugbenga Ogundokun, Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Gbenga Adediji, Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. J. O. Adedokun, as well as a frontline community leader and politician, Hon. Waheed Ajadi equally described the establishment of FRSC station as a welcome development for the progress of the local government area, with a charge to the personnel to apply maturity in the discharge of their duties and relate Peacefully with motorists, other road users and the entire residents of the area.


In his response, the newly posted Station Officer of the FRSC, Assistant Route Commander O. Olusegun Ojo described the establishment of station offices in local governments across the country as a way of ensuring integration and collaboration with the grassroots, thereby expanding FRSC presence in improving traffic management and traffic crash data collection across the country.
The occasion was witnessed by the local government’s Caretaker Members, Heads of Departments and Units, community leaders and other stakeholders.
