The Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Teslim Folarin and other creme de lacreme in Ibadan and beyond have graced the commissioning of Channel8 Hotel in Ibadan owned by Ajia Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke .
The commissioning of Channel8 Hotel situated at New Bodija, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State was done by Ladoja while others were also actively participated for the smooth running and transition of the epoch making event.
In his speech, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, Ajia Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland revealed that the purpose of diversification of business to hotel and other businesses was to create mass employment aimed at checkmating and reducing unemployment to the bearest minimum.
Ajia Balogun Olubadan of Ibadaland while speaking with the news men in Ibadan shortly after the programme reiterated that the diversification of businesses was aimed at creating jobs that would drastically curtail the problems and challenges which are in connection with armed robbery, kidnappings and other dastardly acts which are being perpetrated by the idle hands.
The business man, philanthropist and politician called attention of Nigeria’s leaders to creation of employment to teaming population of youths who are now allowing themselves to be used for violence and lawless acts sequel to their inability to be skillfully and gainfully employed.
On issue of Nigeria, he said Nigeria had now become a dumping ground of foreign produce owing to the county’s failure to produce goods worthy of transporting abroad.
Ajia Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland added that the country’s failure to necessitate export triggered the skyrocketing of 1$ equivalence to #466 as at today.
An economic expert stressed that if Nigeria’s leaders could expedite the needed action to strike an equilibrium between an import and export business,adding that there was every assurance and tendency that an exchange rate would not be astronomical and exorbitant as it is today.
He enjoined the youths to think outside the brain box with a view to coming out with productive ideas which are geared towards the creation of employment to others and betterment of their lives and other dependants.
