The Law Enforcement Officers, LEAs have said that they could not guarantee adequate security and protection of lives and properties during xmas festive season that is almost two months ahead.
A source among the Law Enforcement Officers who pleaded on a condition of anonymity for the sake of retribution disclosed that they and most importantly the Police Officers could not guarantee security during xmas festive season.
He stressed while speaking with the crew of naijatodaynews.com that Police Officers are now endangered species who have become the targets of the suspicious hoodlums sequel to call to end Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS across the country.
He added that with the sad development that happened recently when countless numbers of police men were killed and burnt to ashes, the police officers are now being careful so as not to endanger their lives further.
On the issue of allegation of Police Service Commission forcing police officers to duty posts, anonymous source said that PSC had in entirety denied forcing police officers to duty posts and equally denied threatening to dismiss officers over delayed return to duty, adding that PSC was only pleading with officers to resume work in spirit of nationalism.
According to people’s reactions,” I pray this doesn’t come to reality, else we are all in deep shit”.
“I hope those encouraging the hoodlums to blood letting, looting and wanton destruction of private and public assets will now standup to be counted but I doubt they will because they thrive on hot air rhetorics while running away from the realities on ground”.
” If this should come to pass, then we will know the best of two options: Embrace Law Enforcement Personnel even with all the flaws in the policing systems or Let every man be for himself while the hoodlums and armed robbers have a field day without the slightest encumbrance”.
