OYRTMA Chairman, Akin Fagbemi Receives Award From Ogbomoso, Promises Govt’s Assistance To Late Yemi Likedat’s Family

Methodist Church in Surulere Local Government, Ogbomoso Axis of Oyo State has conferred ‘ The Faithful of God’ Award on the Chairman, Oyo State Road Trafick Maintenance Agency, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, sequel to his outstanding performances on his current assignment, philanthropism and readiness to spread the evangelical mission.

The epoch making programme which took place in Ogbomoso last Saturday had attendance of creme de la creme in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

In his appreciation, Fagbemi lavished encomiums on the priests of Ogbomoso Methodist Church for considering him qualified and worthy of the prestigious award of the Faithful of God.

The Chairman, OYRTMA added that he could not thank them enough for the award, saying that Only God in His infinite mercy would reward them for considering him notable for that.

Earlier, Akin Fagbemi had earlier received the wife of late Comrade Yemi Likedat in his office where he pledged his support and Oyo State Government to assist the family of the late comrade.

Fagbemi revealed that he would do anything in his capacity to ensure that wife and children of Comrade Yemi Likedat are not suffered following the demise of her husband.

He enjoined the widow of late Yemi Likedat to take heart and believe that the incident that happened to her husband was destined, stressing that she needs to see beyond the current situation of her husband’s departure to journey of no return.

It would be recalled that late Comrade Yemi Likedat lost his life while coming from Abuja after Supreme Court had declared Governor Seyi Makinde as legal occupier of office and ultimate winner of Oyo 2019 governorship election.

In another vein, Fagbemi explained what he encountered while running into midst of EndSars Protesters in Ibadan.

Fagbemi who came to his office with a power bike added that it was mercy and good records of his that saved him in the midst of mammoth protesters.

Mogaji said it is always good to have good records, integrity and impeccable character, adding that whenever one seems to fall victim of any unbearable circumstance, the good name that such has built over the years will bail him/her out.

He said that protest is recognized by democratic practice and it must be organized in a peaceful and orderly manner that devoids of lawlessness, anarchy and social disorder.

He enjoined the protesters whose motives are geared towards ending Special Anti Robbery Squad, Police brutality and other alleged imbalances to ensure that they are brought to round table discussion and table their demands.
