Despite Challenges, We Are Moving On -Oyo LG Chair, Olayiwola

The Caretaker Chairman, Iganna Local Council Development Area(LCDA) Iwajowa, Area of Oyo State, Hon. Adeleke Jacob Olayiwola has said that despite challenges that seem to obstruct the possibility of attaining notable achievements in his council area, the current administration led by him is waxing stronger in all multifaceted areas of governance.

Olayiwola disclosed this in an exclusive interaction with Khalid Imran, Editor, naijatodaynews.com during the occasion of birthdate of his counterpart, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola FM of Iseyin South, LCDA which took place in Iseyin recently.

The Council boss said though there were challenges, that he did not allow challenges no matter how they surface to hinder the feasibility of attaining the proposed and planned score cards.

Olayiwola stressed that, to the glory of God, he had within his capacity and others ensured the provision of portable water via Water Extension Project, adding that the project would make water available to the inhabitants in his LCDA and beyond.

On areas of health, he said his government at the council area had given priority to first babies of the year, no matter their numerical strength, special attention has been paid to immunization programme, Human Immune Virus(HIV) Counselling, Covid-19 prevention.

He added that Makinde 200 Free Eye Surgery was exemplary, Free surgery when twenty one(21) people were operated surgically in the council area are notable in the history of the LCDA.

Olayiwola said that he had dissipated energy and expedited actions to ensure that the deteriorated roads in the community are graded to motorized level, adding that with the graded roads, farmers could easily transport their produce to the town.

He disclosed that he has left no stone unturned to ascertain that Iganna LCDA toes the the path of Governor Seyi Makinde who pledges to make food abundant via agric business.

Olayiwola said that the area of security remained a technical one which mode of operation could not be disclosed for certain reasons, adding that concerted efforts had been made to collaborate with the paramilitary officers and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) in the community and beyond in order to ensure continuous secure of lives and properties.

He said other areas of governance are not left untouched as efforts are currently in pipeline to achieve many feats.

He affirmed that community relation has been helpful for attainment of notable feats, adding that his closeness to people of his jurisdiction and beyond has been helping him to know how he performs and where the need required to leverage upon.

Olayiwola revealed that he was grateful that the Audit Panel of Oyo State Government visited the council area and its members were able to audit his programmes and projects fairly and objectively.

Earlier in his discussion, he described the celebrant, FM as an humble person, administrator and educationist per excellence, praying that his subsequent years will be more thankful, blissful and prosperous.
