The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ibarapa East Local Government has vindicated Chief Mrs. Tina Ogundoyin from the lies of her involvement in a fight between two party women (Mrs. Grace Funke- Iya Joy and Mrs. Shomoye).
The leaders while distancing themselves and the party PDP from the ugly incident described the attempt to drag the reputable Iyaloja general of Ibarapaland, Mrs. Ogundoyin into the fight as unfortunate and disheartening.
According to Alhaji Kasali Morakinyo,”we the leaders of the party in Eruwa had taken steps and we’ve resolved the quarrel between both women. It was a mere internal issue, and it was addressed a domestic as it is. But as expected our ‘political friends’ are trying to hijack the situation to their advantage and we are not angry”.
“Before, they said Chief Mrs Ogundoyin wanted to change all the women leaders in Ibarapa, later they said it was the local government Caretaker Chairman, Obalowo, writing and dishing out cheap blackmail and libelous contents”.
“The point is, PDP in Ibarapa East is strong and we were steadfast even when we were not in government. Now, we are in government, the Speaker is our son, we have other indigenes of Ibarapa as Commissioners, Heads of State Agencies and Federal House of Representative. Let them talk, no amount of empty allegations will divide us and our great party”.
“No woman leader was changed at any point in time. The records are there for all to see at the State PDP Secretariat. The Women leader of wards 5, 6 and 9 decided to pitch their tent with another camp, owing to their own selfish interests”.
“Mr Segun Makinde Ward 5 said, it is surprising and shameful how two women from Ward 5 fighting over a space in car in Igboora turned to Speaker’s mother endorsing the beating of someone. If not for the fact that we’ve lost our ‘omoluabi’ to ridiculous political practices, how will you sit, think and write that the mother of the number 3 citizen in the State is dragging with ward women leaders”.
“I do not want to talk about it beyond this. All I can say to buttress is that Mrs Ogundoyin is a good and brave woman, who has always supported other women even before her son joined her in politics, and that’s all”.
“The disagreement is addressed already and the elders in the party have resolved it. The noise is another attempt to cause confusion within our party, and it has failed as usual”, Morakinyo stated
