Ilero Community Chairman in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, Alhaji Amuda Ganiyu Amugat has denied the indigeneship of Fatimo Kiri and Adiza Adamu who are among the eight (8) suspected kidnappers arrested by the Agro Rangers Squad of Nigeria and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Oyo State Command in Iseyin recently.
Amugat denied them as indigenes of Ilero Community during an exclusive interaction with Khalid Imran, Editor, naijatodaynews.com.
According to him,” I’m responding on behalf of ILERO community in Kajola LG of OYO STATE,that those names (Fatimo Kiri and Adiza Adamu)are Fulanis. They are not native nor indigenes of our Noble community, ILERO”.
” They are nomadic, they are persona non grata. Our community cannot say anything about them”.
” ILERO community is peace loving and we abhor men and women of doubtful characters,as such, I say it with all emphasis that they are not part of us”.
It would be recalled that the Agro Rangers Squad of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command have arrested eight(8) suspected kidnappers at Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed in a release personally issued by Supt Oluwole Olusegun, CD PRO and made available to the online news medium.
According to the release,”the Agro Rangers squad of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Oyo State Command have arrested Eight(8) kidnappers that have been terrorizing Ado Awaye, Araromi Lcda, Okaka and Otu in Itesiwsju Local Government and Ilero in Iwa LCDA”.

at around 2115hrs on Thursday 20th of August, one Chief Jowuro Oke-Ogun Alhaji Baani Abubakar called on Agro Rangers Oke-Ogun Axis that the run away suspected kidnappers that have been operating in Ado-Awaye, Araromi LCDA, Okaka and Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government and Ilero LCDA were spotted in Bobajiroro Hotel, Oke Adeta, ISEYIN”.
“At the Bobajiroro Hotel Six (6) males and two(2) female Bororo suspects were arrested”.
“During cross examination of the suspects, the trailed suspect to the scene of the arrest Umaru Lawal M 25yrs, “m” declared that the number used in tracking him belongs to his friend”.
“Further interrogation revealed that those numbers were stored on his phone with different codes such as 52,42,33 etc. Umaru later agreed to help the corps in getting his friend”.
“Meanwhile, names and identities of the suspects were given as, Umaru Lawal 25yrs male from Ado-Awaye,(2) Umaru Saliu 27yrs m from Ado-Awaye,(3) Abase Musa 30yrs m from Odo-Ogun ISEYIN,(4) Barika Idris m from Ipapo Itesiwaju local govt,(5) Abdulahi Kanti 25yrs m from Odo-Ogun ISEYIN,(6) Boto Dengi 30yrs m from Fasola Oyo,(7) Fatimo Kiri teenager 8yrs f from Ilero,(8) Adiza Adamu 20yrs f from Ilero, Iwa LCDA”.
“Items recovered from the suspects include (1) Boxer red Motorcycle with ref no BDJ 580 UL(2) Boxer red Motorcycle reg no EGB 628 UF(3) 4 Tecno phones(4) 1 QUP phone(5) 2 Itel phones(6) A sum of #32,510,00.(Thirty-two thousand five hundred and ten naira)”.
