The Governing Council of University of Lagos on today, Wednesday, 12th August sacks the Vice Chancellor of the institution.
Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe’s appointment was terminated after a meeting of the Governing Council of the institution presided over by the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Wale Babalakin(SAN).
Seven members of the council voted for the sack of the Vice Chancellor while four voted against the motion and just one voted for his suspension instead.
currently, the action was met with bitter reactions from most of the students of the institution, they claimed it was the termination of the best VC they have had so far.
In another development, the Vice Chancellor in another letter he personally signed debunked the news and called it a figment of imagination.
