Oyo Parliamentarian(Fola) Felicitates With Muslims On Occasion Of Eid-El-Kabir

The legislative member in Oyo House of Assembly representing Ibadan North1, Hon.Oyekunle Fola has congratulated Muslims and other faithful in Oyo State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of the 2020 Eid-el-Kabir.

Fola revealed his message in his felicitation statement in Ibadan,the capital of Oyo State which he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynews.com.

He said, “as we celebrate Allah’s benevolence, it is important for us to pause and reflect on the significance of this celebration, which highlights the need for sacrifice and the benefits thereof”.

‘By his readiness to sacrifice his son in compliance with his earlier promise to Almighty Allah, Prophet Ibrahim(ASW) demonstrated the need for us to be willing to make sacrifices for our desired goals & faithful to our pledges”.

“These moral and spiritual lessons couldn’t have been timelier as the current situation in the country is such that calls for sacrifices on the part of all Nigerians but especially by those in positions of responsibility” the statement said.

Fola , in his statement, also calls on Islamic faithfuls, as they proceed to the various Eids,to seek for Allah’s divine intervention in prayers for an end to this COVID-19 Pandemic, which explains why the Governor Seyi Makinde led PDP administration encourage Muslims in the State to observe Eid prayer in strict compliance to the COVID-19 safety protocols and used the opportunity to pray for our State and the country at large.

“We are confident that with prayers and the needed sacrifices, Allah will show us mercy and intervene to solve the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the entire world and our current economic challenges”.

Fola enjoined the people of his constituency to cease not in giving support to his legislative assignment at the Oyo State House of Assembly, promising that they would not be deprived of the needed and expected dividends of democracy.

He equally urged all and sundry in Oyo State to continue praying for Governor Seyi Makinde’s led administration whom he described as God sent to people of the pacesetter setter.
