6 MONTHS IN OFFICE: Makinde Commends Oyo LG Chairman(FM) On Execution Of Projects

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has lavished encomiums on the Caretaker Chairman, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area(LCDA), in the pacesetter state  on attainment of various projects executed between January to June, 2020.

The message of commendation was contained in an address delivered by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mrs Funmi Orisadeyi at occasion of commissioning of projects held at Ode Onimaalu, Ijemba, Iseyin on Wednesday, 29th July.

She opened the commissioning of the executed projects at Ode Onimaalu, Ijemba where borehole was dug for the residents, she visited Ita Oye to commission the toilet and equally did the commissioning of Trailer Pack at Oja Agbe, Abeokuta road and borehole at Ojude Oba, Oja Oba in Iseyin South, LCDA.

While unveiling the executed projects, FM in his address disclosed that he had attained the following projects: “provision of 3 motorized Boreholes at Ode-Oba, Onimalu and Ajegunle community, sawmill Oja-Agbe,Building of 2 public toilet facilities with source of water at strategic places within the LCDA,Rehabilitation of 3 boreholes within the LCDA and Construction of trailer park at Oja-Agbe, Abeokuta road””.

Also, “Rehabilitation of feeder roads in 24 communities within the LCDA,Construction of 6 buss-stops for Okada riders within the LCDA and old Iseyin LGA,Sensitization and distribution of preventive kits to public places across Iseyin LGA and it environs and Distribution of palliatives to major victims of lockdown culminated by COVID-19 in my LCDA and across Iseyin LGA”.

Adding that, “Distribution of relieve materials to the downtroddens in my LCDA and across Iseyin LGA,Omi-Titun free jamb lesson for more than 1,500 students and free JAMB forms for brilliant but indigent students across Iseyin LGA,Stoppage of payments by domestic water fetchers at Ajumoda water works and Construction of six box culverts to create access roads within Koso layout”.

” Active participation in monitoring the compliance of our people during the COVID-19 partial lockdown,Provision and distribution of  posters, handbills to sensitize our people on curtailing COVID-19 as well  as donation of hand washing kits, hand sanitizers to the public places to cultail  the spread and Campaign against rape and other social vices in my LCDA”.

In his admonition, ” to those of you who are the beneficiaries of the above listed projects, I want to say a big congratulations to you all, and to I’m pore you to take good care of them in terms of usage and maintenance, as sighting of more projects in future to your communities would be based on how best or otherwise you maintain the ones already with you”, FM said

FM said he would be most ungrateful if he fails to register his profound appreciation to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde whom he described out of his kindness appointed him to occupy the driver seat of Iseyin South, LCDA at the moment.

He equally used the opportunity to appreciate the presence of Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mrs Funmi Orisadeyi, Political Leaders, Community Leaders, Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders among others.

The former Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Alhaj (Hon.) Saheed Alaran commended FM on execution of projects in the last 6 months of his reign as the Caretaker Chairman of Iseyin South, LCDA.

Alaran described FM as a servant leader who is ready to serve his constituents and pleased them with developmental projects that are attached with democratic governance.

Also, the community leaders lavished encomiums on him for executing the needed projects at the strategic places in the community, stressing that FM’s attainment of notable projects was sequel to his readiness to listen to notable pieces of advice.

The programme was attended by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Political Leaders, Religious Leaders, Community Leaders and Career Officers in LCDA among others.
