The Caretaker Chairman, Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, Alh.(Hon.) Saliman Afolabi Borikansunwon has donated generating sets to people of his communities in order to ease the quick supply of water from the motorized boreholes.
While presenting a generating set to people of Gbonje Community, Ward11 in Okeho Kajola Local Government, Borikansunwon said that the presentation of the generating set was in line with fulfilment of promises made to the people of the community while he was on inspection tour to the dilapidated and damaged boreholes across the local government.
The Local Government Chairman added that its donation was also an idea geared towards the replication of Engineer Seyi Makinde’s blueprints at the local levels.
Borikansunwon enjoined the people of Gbonje Community to make effective use of the generating set and simultaneously ensure that adequate maintenance is promptly and adequately given to it.
In their appreciation, Baale of Gbonje Community, Alhaji Kazeem Ariowo who spoke on behalf of the constituents thanked Borikansunwon for his faithfulness and sincerity to keep to promise, stressing that he remained the local government chairman and leader who cares for the wellbeing and standard of living of the people of his administrative jurisdiction.
Ariowo promised that the people of Gbonje community under his leadership would make effective use of the generating set through prompt and adequate maintenance.
In the same vein, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Chieftain in Ward04, Bode Community in Okeho, Alhaji T.A. Salau lavished encomiums on Borikansunwon for his initiative, readiness and eagerness to make all the motorized boreholes across the local government become operational.
Salau appreciated the Council Chairman while receiving a generating set aimed at ensuring the quick pumping of water from the motorized borehole dug for the people of Bode Community in Okeho.
Salau said that he was happy that Borikansunwon was also toeing the administrative path of Engineer Seyi Makinde whom he described knowing where the shoes pinch the people of Oyo State.
He assured that people of Bode Community would make good use of the generating set with protection, maintenance and general services among others.
Borikansunwon while speaking with Khalid Imran, Editor, Naija Today News reiterated that the presentation of generating sets to the people of the communities was an attestation to fulfilment of promises made while inspecting the dilapidated boreholes across the local government.
He said that the kind gestures was also in line with replication of governor’s blueprints at local levels.
Borikansunwon promised that he would makesure that the presentation of generating sets get to all the wards in the local government, so as to ensure their usefulness for pumping of water from boreholes.
He enjoined the constituents to make the good use of the generating sets, adding they were government properties which should be protected and serviced promptly.
