COVID-19: MBBS/BDS Class 1998 Donates To UCH

Donations to the fight against COVID 19 continue to grow as
the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan MBBS/BDS graduating set of 1998 donated one hundred and sixty seven packs of surgical face masks to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.

The hospital’s Covid-19 Media Team in its release to naijatodaynews.com on Friday, June 19th said,”the donation was done by the class President, Dr. Godwin Ogbole accompanied by the Deputy CMAC (Clinical Services), Dr. Victor Makanjuola, who is also a member of the class”.

“The donation which was to support the Hospital in the fight against the COVID-19 virus, was sourced from the Nigerian region group of the class”.

“While receiving the items, the Hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Otegbayo charged other alumni to aid the hospital in its battle against the rattling coronavirus pandemic”.

“Also in commemoration of her fifth year anniversary, a non-profit charitable group, Doctors’ Timeout Family (DTOF), has also donated surgical face masks, bleach, surgical gloves and hand sanitizers to the Department of Radiology”.

“Founder and CEO of the group, Dr. Anthony Ude presented the items to the Head, Department of Radiology, Prof. Omolola Atalabi Chief who on behalf of the management extolled the kind gesture and affirmed that the items will be put to good use”.

“As at the close of business on Thursday, 18th June, 2020, there are no new cases of the COVID 19 in the hospital”.

“The University College Hospital, Ibadan has continued to play the leading role in combating the spread of the coronavirus, and has upscaled her effort to render excellent care and services to all our patients”.

“The Hospital equally enjoins everyone to adhere to the required infection prevention and control measures prescribed by the WHO and the NCDC, such as physical distancing, regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers & face masks. We will continue to update the public accordingly”.
