I commend the unrelenting effort of Oyo state government headed by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde on the move to revamp our cherished marble site.
I equally commend him for the giant stride, he is achieving in office and also appreciate his effort with the support of Chief J.G Adetoro, Hon Olanyanju Qozeem and Hon. John Oni on the move to place Igbeti Marble on a world map.
Igbeti Marble which is one of the mineral resources the community is blessed with but over the years the marble site has been under utilization by previous administrations except when God Sent Man ( GSM ) came to revamp it .
This marble mining has achieved a lot for Igbeti structurally, economically and educationally. The ego of Igbeti people was high when the marble mining site is still in operation.
The committee that was inaugurated to see the Igbeti Marble working again, has shown that the state government is readily ready to revamp the marble mining site, and boost the economic of Igbeti people and also boost the state IGR through the operation of the marble mining.
The activities and engagement of Engr Seyi Makinde, has distinguished him of being worthy to be in that position he is occupying.
His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde is appreciated for this auspicious initiative and his move to better Igbeti is highly commendable.
