Over the controversies in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Oyo state, Dr. Saka Balogun, a Chieftain of the party in the state has appealed to the concerned people, the PDP fold to embrace peace, while he also cautioned Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde of one man’s decision method, agitating for a need of Elders’ Committee.

“Dr. Saka Balogun explained explicitly to an Online Media, that, Gov. Makinde has more of campaign experience but not having enough government runnings’ experience, therefore shows the need for Elders Committee”.

“I have no problem on all his appointments, he is doing good but he needs to allow more hands in his decision making particularly the elders of the party need to be carried along the more in his government”.

” Makinde is only using the operational guide of how he runs his business to run the government which is not the best. There is need for Elders Committee” .He said.

“In his reaction to Alhaji Rasheed Adebisi Olopoeniyan’s statement , Balogun expressed his satisfaction over the issue but only to be displeased with where he made his words known”.

*According to him, Olopoeyan indeed worked for Makinde both in the day and night and therefore makes it unfair if Makinde will not allow him to be part of his government. “Olopoeyan should have made his grievance known internally rather than making it public”.

“Yet, the issues will be resolved in no time as we are working towards peace. Olopoeniyan needs to be very careful not to dismantle the house he has built rather to embrace peace and allow more patience”.

“He therefore advised Olopoeyan and other PDP leaders not to be bothered with whatever utterances out of Auxiliary’s mouth as he had proven to be of low status in speech and in actions”.

“Hence, he pledged to support the move to build a better PDP and not to embrace any form of things fall apart with unnecessary in-house issues”. Balogun concluded
