OYO CP’S BIRTHDATE: New CP Promises Commitment To Primary Functions As Ilaji Boss, Crime Alert Boss, Others Host Reception

The New Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, Nwachukwu Enwonwu has promised his commitment to police primary functions of protecting lives and properties across the state.

Enwonwu made words of assurance at Ilaji Hotel and Resorts Centre in Ibadan on auspicious occasion of birthdate hosted by Chief Dotun Sanusi on Saturday, June 6th.

Enwonwu disclosed that as he became the New Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, he would do everything possible to ensure and ascertain that the lives and properties of people across the state are saved and protected.

While seeking for an assistance, Enwonwu said that police alone could not fish out the criminals in the state without the cooperation and maximum support of the public, he called on PCRC and others in the state to join hands with him and other police men, so as to get rid of bandits and make the pacesetter sate a more secured state.

On adherence to fundamental human rights, the New Police Boss said he would not allow men of police force brutalizing members of the public, stressing that he respects human rights and he would no under any circumstance shielding an officer contravening the laws and ethics upholding and sustaining the police force.

On appreciation, Enwonwu appreciated Chief Dotun Sanusi, The CEO, Ilaji Hotel and Resorts Centre, Ibadan for considering it imperative and noteworthy to host him on his auspicious occasion of birthdate that comes on every June 6th, lavishing encomiums on Sanusi for organizing a reception for him as he just arrived Oyo State as the new Commissioner of Police.

Speaking with www.naijatodaynews.com, the new Police Boss also appreciated the PCRC and its Boss in the state for its readiness and cooperation to collaborate with Oyo State Police Command on their firm stance and focus to get rid of bandits and heinous crimes in the state, adding that the collaboration would no doubt make Oyo State a rancour free and peace loving state.

Earlier in his welcome address, Rev. Peter Omofoye, PCRC Chairman welcomed Enwonwu to the state and equally used the forum to felicitate him on ocassion of birthdate, praying that the subsequent years would be more blissful, colorful and prosperous.

Omofoye described Enwonwu a man of people, considering the numbers  of entourage accompanied him to the special reception aimed at celebrating him on his birthdate, stressing that Enwonwu possesses good qualities that a good man should possess at first sight.

On pledged cooperation,Omofoye said that PCRC in the state would cooperate with new police boss so as to achieve greatly  on the newly assigned tasks, stressing that the pacesetter would still be known for unity, love and progress.

He appreciated Sanusi for numerous assistance he had rendered to the force, saying that Sanusi remained a statesman who cares for rancour free state, unity and progress of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

The founder of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Dotun Sanusi welcomed the new police commissioner to the state, praying for his unprecedented achievements in his new assignment.

Sanusi said that the men of police force were in place to protect lives and properties, calling on Enwonwu and his men to beef up security in the state so as to make the state a crime free one.

The Chairman, Ona Ara Local Government said that the new police commissioner would definitely collaborate with the special adviser on security to the governor, Fatai Owoseni, so that Governor Seyi Makinde’s promise on crime free society would be attained.

The special reception was attended by the movie stars, Chief Lere Paimo, Pa Abolade Salami, PCRC members, police force and host of others.
