The Caretaker Chairman, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Iseyin, Area of Oyo State, Hon. Abd’Raheem Ajibola has lauded Engr Seyi Makinde on his commitment to redefining politics and governance in the state.
While speaking with Khalid Imran, Editor, Naija Today News in his office at Council Secretariat, Malete, Iseyin on successful completion of Makinde’s one year in office and attainment of commendable feats, FM lauded him on his commitment towards redefining politics, governance and setting the pace among others.
While lavishing encomiums on Makinde, FM said that encomiums and appreciation should be lavished on the Governor for his ability, readiness and eagerness to redefine politics and governance which are aimed at setting the pace.
FM disclosed that Makinde had redefined politics in making his adminstration open for constructive criticisms that would shape him, face of governance and consequently put him on his toes, stressing that Makinde had exhibited the attitude and colour of a true democrat whose belief and focus centre on creating rooms for constructive and objective criticisms so as to attain unprecedented achievements.
FM stressed that Makinde does not believe in media making cheap popularity or propaganda of what he has not done, saying his belief centres on relaying of what he does to the public.
FM said within the last 365 days in office as Governor of Oyo State, Makinde had differentiated between the government of deceit and sincere one, stressing that he had no belief nor ulterior motives in making empty promises on what he would not do.
As politics calls for decorum and avoidance of defamatory statements, FM lauded Makinde for his maturity to avoid making libel and slander against anybody within the party and beyond, stressing that he could not be found making unguarded, character assassinated and frivolous statements against anybody no matter the level of annoyance.
On governance, FM said that Makinde had been living up to expectation, sequel to his ability to fulfill the promises that were made during the electioneering campaigns.
On education, FM disclosed that the Governor had not disappointed the working force in the state through prompt and regular payment of salaries,stressing that free education policy in public primary and secondary schools across the state was a commendable one.
As security of lives and properties is one of the duties of a government, FM said that Makinde had been doing wonderfully well to ensure that the people of Oyo State sleep with their two eyes closed, adding that he demonstrated to be a Governor of a pacesetter state for his courageous step to champion the inauguration of operation Amotekun Security Network in Oyo State and entire South West Geo-Political Zone.
FM commended Makinde’s performances on other sectors of government like health, agriculture, building and construction, which he said his outstanding achievements have been felt in the last one year.
FM described Makinde a go getter, pragmatic and selfless leader who was doing everything possible to ensure that the state attains an enviable height, stressing that the attained feats in the last one proved that he would shape the face of the state before the completion of four years of first tenure.
FM lauded Makinde on the wonderful jobs he was doing in the state, enjoining him to continue to wax stronger and do more as God in his infinite mercy would protect, guide and guard him.
FM called on all and sundry to pray for the Governor on sound health, wisdom, Knowledge and protection to deliver more on tasks at hands.
