The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has on Saturday, May 30th made clarification on completion of Ojimi Ayinde Community Primary School in Ido Local Government, Ibadan, the state’s capital

Makinde said that the clarification made by him on the completion of school project was consequent upon the propaganda, cheap popularity and unguarded statements which are being made by the members of opposition and agents of darkness who are trying all best of theirs to pull down the current government in Oyo State.

In his clarification message, Makinde said” a team from Oyo State Ministry of Information visited Community Primary School, Ojimi this afternoon with a Senior staff member of OyoSUBEB. This became necessary to douse the cheap propaganda being spread that Community Pry School, Ojimi does not exist”.

“According to the Senior staff at SUBEB, CPS, Ojimi-Ayinde was not big enough to accommodate the project, then Community leaders at Ojimi volunteered a larger space at Ojimi/Olosun. This brought the project to Ojimi/Olosun; a beautiful project with basic facilities such as Sick bay, 12 classrooms, laboratory, Children’s class, borehole among others”.

“However, the name of the school remains Ojimi-Ayinde which the critics claimed that the school does exist in its TRUE form”.

Gov Seyi Makinde said he had taken the noble path by finishing projects left uncompleted by previous administration as Community Primary School Ojimi being one of them.

Makinde confirmed to have paid UBEC the outstanding counterpart funding for 2018 UBEC/SUBEB intervention projects to access matching grants from UBEC that would enable this administration complete the projects and equally affirmed the payment of counterpart funding for 2019.

He reiterated that OyoSUBEB truly completed the project in Ibadan, stressing that the state government was making and spreading audio project was a politically calculated attempt that would fail woefully.
