Oyo State Youth Leader, African Democratic Congress(ADC), Hon. Kehinde Giwa and others in thousands have today defected to Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
In a release personally signed by Hon. Asimiyu Agbolade and Alhaja Abimbola Akindele and made available to Naija Today News today, Tuesday, May 26th.
In their words,”Ibadan Northwest, Ibadan: Today the ADC State Youth Leader Hon. Kehinde Giwa, State House of Assembly candidate in the last elections,Hon. Ahmed Akindipe Akinsumbo, Fmr Leader of the Local Government Legislature Hon. Olansile Olaniyi and other leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) along with thousands of our followers and supporters hereby announced our decision to join forces with the ruling party PDP in order to bring improved services to the people of Oyo state”.
“Our decision to leave the ADC for PDP is solely to join hands with His Excellency,Engr. Seyi Makinde in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people”.
“You all can attest to the great work the governor is doing and to continue staying away from such good work would amount to insensitivity to the need of our people”.
“We, therefore, wish to state that henceforth we shall act in accordance with the principles, ideals, aims and objectives of the PDP in ensuring that the government of Engr. Seyi Makinde keeps delivering the improved services it started since May 2019 to the good people of Oyo state”.
“We thank the leadership of the PDP under the able chairman Alh. Kunmi Mustapha, the ever reliable Secretary Alh. Wasiu Adeleke and other leaders of the party in the state”.
