The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH,), Ibadan, Oyo State, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo has commissioned the 10KVA solar inverter donated to the hospital by Arnergy Solar Limited.
The Hospital’s Covid-19 Media Team in its release made available to Naija Today News on Saturday, May 23rd said, “The solar inverter is installed at the Infectious Disease Unit (IDU) as part of efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic”.
“While commissioning the inverter, the CMD pointed out that the problem of epileptic power supply and the huge cost of diesel supply to the Unit will reduce very considerably. Apart from this, the facility will also enhance better and more efficient care for the patients at the IDU”.
“The CMD acknowledged the efforts of Barrister Funmi Roberts and the President of the Association for Reproductive and Family Health, Prof. I. A. Ladipo for facilitating the donation, and assured them that the users of the facility will be more comfortable henceforth”.
“As at the close of business on Friday, 22nd May, 2020, no new case was reported in the hospital”.
“The University College Hospital, Ibadan has been playing the leading role in combating the spread of the coronavirus, and will continue to render excellent care and services to all our patients”.
“The Hospital equally enjoins everyone to adhere to the required infection prevention and control measures prescribed by the WHO and the NCDC, such as physical distancing, regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers & face masks”.
