Oyo Assembly Moves to Change Ibarapa Polytechnic to Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus-Eruwa, Passes Vote of Confidence on Governor Makinde

The Oyo state house of assembly, this Tuesday observed the second reading of a bill to change the name of the Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa back to Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus.

The bill titled “A Bill for a law to Amend The Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa Law, 2013 was okayed be all the lawmakers in the 9th assembly.

While lending their voices to the bill, the House Majority leader, Honorable Sanjo Adedoyin; the Minority leader, Honorable Asimiyu Alarape and the sponsor of the bill, honorable Akeem Adedibu said the motive behind the change of the institution’s name to Ibarapa Polytechnic could not be ascertained but the Oyo state House of Assembly is set to change the school name back to Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus, Eruwa.

In his remark, the speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin who doubles as the son of the late business magnate, Adeseun Ogundoyin, noted that he is not throwing weight behind the bill because of the person at the fore is his father but maintained that a round peg should be put in the round hole.

In a similar vein, the house moved a vote of confidence on the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and his deputy, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, debunked face-off reports between the Executive and Legislative arm.
