A two-term member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Olusegun Olaleye has disclosed that the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi had no ‘template of governance’ during his tenure as the governor of the state.

Niyi Akintola had earlier referred to Governor Seyi Makinde that he does not have a think-tank team during an interview on Fresh FM.

In reaction, Radical as Olaleye is fondly called, said, “I say no to that, the governor that gave us a very strong template of governance was Rashidi Ladoja, that was why when Abiola Ajimobi started talking about bridges, circulars and all sort, a lot of people in Accord said it was their ideas and everything that’s why the governor (Abiola Ajimobi) used to say they are dreamers, we are the said.”

He disclosed this on Fresh 105.9 FM’s Crossfire on Sunday evening.

He also stated that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Niyi Akintola misinformed the public in his criticism of Governor Seyi Makinde.

He said, “Chief Akintola is a respectable man, a man that was involved in the struggle for democratic order in the country. I respect him so much and everything.

“He came up and clearly misinformed the Oyo State people that this government has not even laid one block in one year while restoration bridge was commissioned (after) seven months in office of the last administration and that information was false because restoration bridge was commissioned February 11, 2013, which is one year, nine months into the last administration of former governor Abiola Ajimobi.

“It was after that you have June 2013 for Mokola bridge, which is over two years and that restoration bridge cost the government 485 million naira then and you came up with some of this information and misinformed the populace.

“And you have forgotten that during the first year of Governor Abiola Ajimobi is more of beautification, planting flowers, beautifying the place, put up the Yes’O people on ground and some other things, you bought some tricycle and motorcycle for healthy movement which was later not sustainable and stuffs like that.”

He, however, noted that after two years, Abiola Ajimobi started commissioning projects.

He added that Makinde had, in his first year, unlike Abiola Ajimobi, constructed some bridges.
