The Lawmaker representing Oyo East/West at Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon.Isiaka Kazeem Tunde Arole has begun the distribution of Ramadan palliatives to the constituents.
The gifts were ranged from rice, beans, semovita, sugar and other consumable items aimed at cushioning the effects of coronavirus’ lockdown ravaging the state in this holy month of Ramadan.
Arole in an interactive session with Naija Today News disclosed that the distribution of Ramadan palliatives is to relieve the Muslim faithful and other religious adherents of the current hardship being triggered by the outbreak and prevalence of coronavirus pandemic ravaging the state, country and globe at large.
Arole who is the Chairman House Committee on Culture and Tourism said that the people of his constituency needed to be identified with now, with presentation of valuable and consumable items that would mitigate the effects of lockdown that is no doubt orchestrated by coronavirus pandemic.
An All Progressive Congress'(APC) parliamentarian at the 9th House of Assembly stressed that the distribution of gifts are targeted to reach the nooks and crannies of Oyo East/West State Constituency.
He added that coronavirus pandemic had no doubt prevented people from continuing with their daily paid engagements, sequel to compliance with directives of lockdown caused by the prevalent civic-19.
Arole said that he would continue doing his best for the constituents and others till coronavirus pandemic is completely eradicated in Oyo State, Nigeria and world at large.
He added that the promises of dividends of democracy’s extension to all door steps made during the electioneering campaigns must be kept.
Arole urged constituents, people of Oyo State and Nigeria to comply strictly with governments’ directives of stay home and safe, stressing that covid-19 would be completely curtailed provided people yield to directives of the constituted authorities.
He equally enjoined them to use the current month of ramadan to pray for the state, Nigeria and world at large against the pandemic and other contagious diseases.
